Executive Summary
Owner
John Walters started in the moving business
in 1976 while attending Morgan State University. In 1982, Mr.
Walters became a contractor for Von Paris. In a short time
he became the largest contractor for Von Paris in the Baltimore,
Washington DC area. In 1988, Mr. Walters founded Walters Relocations
Incorporated, (WRI). Still contracting for Von Paris, WRI helped
create The Commercial Relocations Systems (CRS). This is among
the major commercial moving services in the area. In 1997 Walters
Relocations moved to 6600 Moravia Park Drive and became a complete
independent mover. In 2000 WRI opened its second location,
1915 Annapolis Rd. In 2004, Mr. Walters purchased the old State
Farm Building located on 2001 Elgin Avenue; Baltimore, MD and
relocated his company headquarters to the new 20,000 sq. ft.
facility.
Marketing Department
Sabrina Jones
was the Marketing Director for Development Capital Fund a Baltimore
based non-profit organization that seeks to raise funds to
support micro-lending programs. Mrs. Jones was responsible
for executing the Fund’s
marketing strategy in the retail market through advertising
and direct marketing campaigns.
Mrs. Jones obtained her Series 6 and
Series 63 Securities licenses in 1998. She received a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Political Science from Morgan State University
in 1989 and worked as Special Assistant to the Assistant Dean
of Morgan State University’s College of Arts and Sciences
prior to joining The Development Capital Fund.
As Director of
Marketing for Walters Relocations, Inc., Mrs. Jones is committed
to creating and executing new and innovative marketing strategies
both externally as well as internally to ensure continued customer
satisfaction, employee loyalty and company growth.
Sales Department
As Payroll/MIS Specialist, Raymond Briggs was responsible
for managing the collection, input and reporting of data for
all Baltimore City Federally funded youth programs. Raymond successfully
managed a 150+ workstation network while being responsible for
the timely execution of payroll processing for 17,000 young employees
--the largest youth program payroll for any one city agency.
Raymond started his career as a Field Monitor for CETA program
where he learned the system and proceeded to advance. With the
implementation of computers into his work he sought certification
in programming and revolutionized the processing of payroll for
his programs and later Baltimore City. Raymond is a member of
MAPS (Managerial and Professional Society).
Raymond has brought
with him to WRI the skills to listen, communicate, build relationships
with clients while going the extra mile to ensure service and
satisfaction.
Human Resources
As Vice President of OEM Sales at Net Manage, Inc.,
Alfred directed business development, technology management,
technology sales and licensing. Alfred's team was responsible
for an OEM/VAR program with annuity revenues of over $12m per
year during its peak.
Alfred
began his career in a management training program at Sears,
Roebuck and Co. where he quickly advanced through the management
ranks. At UCCEL Software and RAXCO, Inc. he managed sales teams
for key accounts across North America. He later became Vice
President of Partner Sales for Relay Technology, Inc. Alfred
has been a consistent Presidents Club performer throughout
his sales career.
At Walters Relocations, Inc (WRI)
Alfred will use his extensive operational and sales management
experience to direct human resources, structure services
offered by WRI, and develop new business relationships.
